Circular Resource Tools that can be used for Babies/Toddlers in Foster Care

Gorgeous Baby Girl with Daisies in HaireWhen we first started Fostering smaller children, I found it very helpful to subscribe to a Baby/Toddler resources center.

These centers send you free weekly updates on what to expect from a ‘normal’ baby/toddler’s developmental phases and behavior, during that age group.  Therefore giving you as a foster parent a barometer to measure ‘normal’ developmental phases and behavior; and when to get professional help for suspect ‘trigger behavior’, and/or delayed development.  I found ‘Baby Center’ https://www.babycenter.com/secure/registerBlog.htm very helpful, but there are many others available.  Search the net and subscribe.  It is such an amazingly helpful, and free tool!

About Helouise Steenkamp

I'm a 45 plus, Devoted Wife and Mother. Adonai has blessed us with two Amazingly Wonderful Sons. We have had the privilege of being Place of Safety parents for 1 1/2 years and there after foster parents to a Darling Princess for 5 years. She was reconciled with her biological parents in Dec'14. Our hearts are still aching from the loss, but we know that as we trust Adonai with our salvation, so we can trust Him with her future. We welcomed our new 4 year old foster child on 05JUN'15.
